Results Week 6

Next week, we pulsed with the amazing performance proposed by the athletes of Chamonix.

 

A crazy downhill!

Guillermo Fayed take place this Friday 7th for his downhill of the World Championship. It was with a mad atmosphere that Chamonix join Gus at the ‘’Maison des Sports’’ for make him some encouragement in front of a big TV screen.

On a perfect track for this championship, with athletes in a good feeling, same a little fault in the race it’s so much for have a medal. Gus takes a 5th place at 0.08sec to the podium and 0.32sec to the lead.

 

Same if he doesn’t come back with a medal, we have to thanks and applaud Gus for all emotions that he gives onw since the season begin with his performance.

 

Good job Champion!

 

 

On the ‘’Jurassien” Freeze!

Mathias Wibault was last week on the ‘’Transju’Claccis’’, race to the FIS Marathon Cup (Longue distance World Cup in cross country skiing). After 56km and about 3h of competition, Matt finish 11th of this beautiful race.

 

On the mythic French competition.

In cross-country skiing, ‘’La Tranjurassienne’’ is the most popular race in France.

Damien Tarantola was for the first time at the start of this race. For make the 68km in free technic, he needs 3hours20 and finish 5th.

 

This is not enough!

After a good qualification’s jump, 24th, Vincent Descombes Sevoie doesn’t arrive to confirm during next jumps! He finishes 43th and 41th to the 2 competitions. Not world cup point for this stage, but it’s sure that ‘’Vince’’ will be take this in Vikersund.

 

Good first races!

Cedric Amafroi-Broisat was at the begin of next week in Switzerland, in Saint Moritz.

Monday, in the Giant Slalom he finishes 10th before to did not finish on Tuesday.

Wednesday, he take the 6th place to the Slalom before to did not finish again on the second Slalom’s race.

 

One more!

Merlin Surget doesn’t stop to win. After his EYOF’s medals, he take again the 1st place in a FIS Race in Davos.

Lucas Rivo, in Davos too, he finishes 20th.

 

Not easy all weekends.

Enora Latuilliere was with Jean Guillaume Beatrix on the Single Relay Mixt, new race propose by the IBU. They finish 6th.

Pour individuals Races, Enora didn’t have a good feeling, 36th to the Sprint she didn’t finish the Pursuit.

It’s possible that she wasn’t at 100% after was sick at the begin to the week.

 

High-level performance.

The IBU’s Group was on the SAMSE National Tour in ‘’Les Contamines”. Sunday, Clement Dumont realize a very good race on the Mass Start, he takes the 3rd just behind Baptiste Jouty (1st) and Florent Claude (2nd), two members to the French National Team B.
